Wrapping Up 2006... Well, it has definitely been a challenging and rewarding year! Here are some of the highlights of the past twelve months:
January: started our critique group, the Purple Pen Posse
March: entered the first three chapters of The Changeling Bride in the Beau Monde "Royal Ascot" contest
June: received word that I finaled in the Royal Ascot contest
July: attended the Romance Writers of America conference in Atlanta, GA
--received 3rd place in the Royal Ascot contest
August: started my blog
October: finished the rough draft of The Changeling Bride
--attended the Emerald City Writer's Conference
--pitched to Erika Tsang of Avon Books and Nephele Tempest of The Knight Agency
November: began revising The Changeling Bride
Resolutions for 2007
- Finish revisions to The Changeling Bride
- Submit to agents
- Enter the Hearts Through History "Romance Through the Ages" contest (March)
- Enter the Celtic Hearts "Golden Claddagh" contest (May)
Looks like this is shaping up to be another busy year - watch this space for updates!
